Murchision Falls National Park
Murchison Falls is the central feature of Uganda's largest national park, where the entire volume of the Victoria Nile River is forced through an incredibly narrow, 7-meter (23-foot) wide gorge before plunging 43 meters (141 feet) down, creating one of the world's most powerful waterfalls.
The surrounding Murchison Falls National Park is a major safari destination, offering stunning views of the falls from both the top and the base (reached by boat safari), game drives to see four of the Big Five and the world’s largest population of Rothschild’s giraffes, and excellent opportunities for birdwatching and chimpanzee trekking in the adjacent forests.
